Participant prerequisites:
PC literate - knows how to use a text editing software and a web browser has used BLAST and/or FASTA on the web - knows the impact of changing matrices and expectation values on search results has used and/or explored GenBank
Recommended experience:
experience doing multiple alignments on the web or experience using Unigene and/or OMIM or experience with a 3D visualization program such as Chimera, Chime, Cn3D, Mage, Rasmol, or Swiss PDB viewer
